Phil is back at it.
Here's a quick refresher: Phil and Claire live in Aurora, Colorado, with their boys Brian and Luke. Phil runs an online store for iPad and iPhone accessories and has a weakness for Apple. Claire often questions why he spends so much time browsing the Apple products page when he could fix the squeaky railing.
September 7th is a day Phil has been anticipating for the past six months: Apple’s launch of the iPhone 14. He has spent hours on rumor sites speculating what cool features the phone might have, from an x-ray vision camera to new thought recognition software.
Not enough time to drop off your Apple return?Your first return pickup is free →As it turned out, the phone had neither of those fantastic features; however, the iPhone and Apple Watch Ultra did have great new offerings for the avid mountain hiker. Phil starts to remember how his wife requests that he leave the house more often so that she can have some peace and play her music as loud as she likes.
In some distorted way, he thought buying the Deep Purple iPhone 14 Pro Max and Apple Watch Ultra was just as much of a gift for Claire as it was for him. Even though the extent of his “avid” mountain hiking career includes only strolls around Evergreen Lake.
With a clear justification for the purchase, he added the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Ultra to his cart. Just as he is about to pay for the shiny new electronics, a little white box keeps staring at him as if it were saying. “Are you sure, Phil?”
This unopened box is an Alpine Green iPhone 13 Mini, which he purchased last week as a surprise gift for Claire, who has been using a 2nd generation iPhone for years. Tapping his finger on the little white box and staring at the screen, he becomes guilty as he contemplates returning Claire’s surprise gift and buying himself the new Apple products.
At this point, a vision of Claire’s alone time with her playing loud music and dancing in their kitchen plays in his head. Just as Phil purchased the fancy new iPhone and Apple Watch, he is startled by Claire when she asks. “Is that iPhone for me?”
While Phil stumbles to find what to say, Claire sees the shopping cart total and Apple return policy page open. Knowing her husband, she knows what he is up to.
“Honey, you know how you often wish I wasn’t home as much so that…” Don’t even Phil!
Whether you buy an iPhone from your carrier or buy it unlocked, Apple might provide different options to return your phone. You can only return items purchased directly from Apple online or in the Apple retail store. Apple prefers you return your iPhone with everything you received, including the adapters and documentation within the box.
Suppose you purchased an unlocked iPhone directly from Apple online within the last 14 days. You have the following options.
You could return the purchased iPhone within 14 calendar days of receiving it at any Apple Store. Not all U.S. cities might have an Apple Store nearby, so use the Apple Store Locator page to locate the closest store to you.
If you do not have an Apple Store nearby, Apple allows you to create a prepaid return label for UPS or FedEx. This Apple Support Returns page guides you through generating and printing a return label through the Apple Portal. Once printed, you can schedule a UPS pickup from the UPS portal (a lengthy procedure) or drop it off at a UPS store in your town.
Both options come with a trade-off: Your Time.
You could spend your time driving back and forth to an Apple or UPS store. Or you could use Quick Ship Today to schedule a pickup in 3 easy steps, saving you time so that you can do something that matters to you.
